Vienna (Austria), Sunday 15 January 2012
The Eisbärlauf race series in Vienna, organized annually by the athletics club LCC Wien, consists of three running events in January, February, and March.
Each event offers a 7km run and a half marathon. The route is a 7km-loop in the Prater park. The course is completely flat, traffic-free, and AIMS-certified.
Last year, over 750 runners took part in the first race of the Eisbärlauf series.
The half marathon winners were Wolfgang Wallner (1:10:34) and, after a two-year doping ban, Susanne Pumper (1:19:43)
