Trieste (Italy), Sunday 15 April 2012
The Vivicittà in the port of Trieste is not a race, it's a manifestation of sports in the city, a non-competitive fun run without timekeeping or results lists.
This year, the start and the finish will be at the court house.
Participants will run, jog or walk one loop (approximately 3km) through the city centre with its many grandiose Habsburg palaces.
The route will take them across a number of piazzi, along the Canal Grande (pictured), and, of course, past innumerable cafés and gelaterie.
