Női Futógála 2011
Budapest (Hungary), Sunday 5 June 2011
Over 4,000 ladies are expected to take part in the Women's Run in Budapest, held this year on Margitsziget ("Margaret Island"), a 2.5-kilometre-long green island in the River Danube.
Situated very close to Budapest's city centre, Margitsziget is a popular recreation ground with landscaped parks, medieval ruins, spa hotels, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a running track which is over 5 kilometres long.
Participants choose between the 3.5km and the 7.5km run, which consists of two loops (3.5+4km). As the races start one after the other, it's also possible to run both distances.
The 7.5K can also be run as a relay with two runners in each team.
