Around 500 runners (300 of them children) took part in last year's "Citylauf" in the small town of Bruck an der Leitha, located in the far east of Austria, half-way between Vienna and Bratislava.

The main race is the 10K, which consists of a short loop through Bruck's old town, followed by two longer loops through the beautiful Harrachpark, an English landscape park behind Schloss Prugg, a red-painted private castle. The route is AIMS-certified.

Participants in the 5.4K race run one short loop and one long loop. The fastest race of the day is the 1mile (1.609km) run, which takes place in the old town.

In 2010, the 10K winners were Sándor Fonyó of Hungary (35:58) and Gertraud Haller-Peck (43:37).
