14th Half Marathon "Riviera of the Doges" 2011

This flat and fast half marathon in northern Italy is run along both banks of the Brenta Canal, which connects the cities of Padua and Venice.

The Canal is also known as the "Riviera del Brenta", as it is home to many fine villas built by the Venetian aristocracy between the 16th and 18th century.

Start and finish are in the small town of Mira. Participants run westward to Stra where they pass the magnificentVilla Pisani before they return back to Mira along the other bank of the canal.

In 2010, almost 1500 runners finished the race. The winners were Said Boudalia (1:05:46) and Sonia Lorenzi (1:21:00).
