3rd Zala Running Festival 2010

Bagod (Hungary), Saturday 16 October 2010

"Szaggasd az aszfaltot!is the motto of this small and friendly event in western Hungary. "Grind the asphalt!"

Participants grind either 3, 10 or 21 kilometres of asphalt. Start and finish are in the village of Bagod, near the town of Zalaegerszeg, capital of Zala County.

All races run out-and-back a cycle path. The course is very mildly undulating and accurately measured. The half marathon turning point is near the village of Zalalövő, located on the edge of the lovely Őrség National Park.

The event is organized by experienced runners, and the atmosphere along the course is excellent.

In 2009, the half marathon winners were Roland Lakatos (1:19:48) and Veronika Görög (1:31:54).
