Umag Mini Marathon 'Riviera' 2009

 

The mini marathon along the shore of the Adriatic is a truly international event. Last year, 70 per cent of the finishers came from foreign countries, most of them from nearby Slovenia and from Italy. Overall, 156 runners took part in the half marathon, the 10k and the 5k races.

This year, however, there won't be a half marathon in Umag, just 5k and 11k. There are already more than enough half marathons in Croatia but few shorter races.

Start and finish will be on the sea-front in the holiday resort town of Umag. From there, you will run northwards on a mildly undulating out-and-back-course through tourist settlements and woods.
