The Trenčiansky polmaratón (‘Trenčín Half Marathon’) is a running event held annually in Trenčín, an old town of about 55,000 people, located in the western part of Slovakia, approximately 125 kilometres from Bratislava.
Starting and ending in the town centre, the route runs on roads and cycleways through urban and rural areas and along the Váh river, passing the Old Town, the castle (pictured above), the ice hockey arena, the football stadium and the airfield.
The race course is flat.
The event also offers a relay option for teams of two, three or four runners.
