The Brasov Marathon is a multi-terrain mountain running event held annually in the Carpathians in Romania.

It offers three very challenging and scenic races through the Postăvarul Massif:

  • 9k Cros (369 metres of ascent)
  • 21k Semimaraton (1,016 metres of ascent)
  • 38k Maraton (2,056 metres of ascent)

The start and the finish are on Piața Sfatului (Council Square), the spacious and beautiful main square of the city of Brașov.

The 38k marathon takes the runners up to Poiana Brașov (one of Romania's most popular ski resorts) and to Vârful Postăvarul (1,799m), the highest peak of the massif.

In addition to the above mountain races, the event features a number of children's races and a 1k race for people with disabilities.
