This marathon road race in Poland takes runners on a tour of Poznań, the fifth-largest city in the country with a population of over half a million, located more or less halfway between Berlin and Warsaw.
Like the Poznań Półmaraton (Poznan Half Marathon), which is held in the spring, the race begins and ends at the Poznan International Fair (Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, MTP).
The course is single loop that has been certified by AIMS, World Athletics and the Polish Athletic Association PZLA.
The route is a bit undulating but it features many long straight sections which is good news for those looking to run a fast marathon.
