Held since 1983, the Wrocław Maraton is a 42.195-kilometre marathon road race through Wrocław, Poland's fourth-largest city with a population of about 640,000.
Starting at the Stadion Olimpijski (Olympic Stadium) in the eastern part of the city, the route visits the Old Town before it loops through southern, western and northern parts of Wrocław. The finish line is inside the stadium.
The course is mainly flat and fast, and it has been accurately measured and certified by IAAF, AIMS and the Polish Athletic Association PZLA.
The time limit to finish the race is six hours.
Early entry is advised. The event will probably sell out well ahead of time.
