The Mezza Maratona "Città di Palmanova" (Palmanova Half Marathon) is a road running event held annually in November in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region in the north-eastern part of Italy.
It's a very popular event that attracts more than 1,500 entries every year, including a large crowd of runners from neighbouring Slovenia and Austria.
Starting and finishing on Piazza Grande, the central square of the star-shaped Venetian fortress town of Palmanova, the race features a flat and fast course that runs through agricultural land and rustic villages on the vast Friulian Plain.
