The Schlossgartenlauf in Ludwigslust, a small town of 12,000 people in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in northern Germany, invites runners and nordic walkers to take part in one of the following races:
- Bambinilauf for children
- 2km for children
- 5km run
- 5km nordic walking
- 10km run
- 10km nordic walking
- 15km run
The route is a flat and very scenic 5km loop through the vast English-style park of Schloss Ludwigslust (Ludwigslust Palace; pictured).
Usually, the event takes place on the last day of the Lindenfest, a three-day funfair and street festival held annually in June in the town.
In 2026, however, the Schlossgartenlauf will be held on the Sunday before the Lindenfest (19-21 June 2026).
