Held annually in the summer in Buntekuh ("colourful cow"), a multicultural quarter of the city of Lübeck, Germany, the Buntekuhlauf attracts around 500 to 600 runners and walkers.
Starting and finishing at the Sportplatz Koggenweg, which is approximately three kilometres from Lübeck's historic town centre, the event offers races for all ages and abilities:
- 1km and 2km run for children
- 5km fun run and walk
- 10km race
The 5k is one lap and the 10k is two laps of a gently-undulating course through residential areas and parkland.
