The Mein Freiburg Marathon is a road running event held in Freiburg im Breisgau, a lively university city of about 240,000 people, located at the foot of the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) mountain range in the state of Baden-Württemberg in the south-western corner of Germany.
These races are available:
- 400m-1.1km-1.8km Mini-Marathon (kids run; on Saturday)
- 10km
- 21.1km Halbmarathon (half marathon)
- 21.1km Schülermarathon (half marathon relay race for teams of seven young athletes)
- 42.2km Marathon
All races begin and end at the Messe Freiburg trade fair grounds in the northern part of the city.
Participants in the full marathon run two laps of a scenic and gently-undulating loop course. Each lap includes about 100 metres of ascent.
