The 100km Leipzig is an annual ultramarathon running event held in the green north-western part of Leipzig, a city of about 600,000 people in the state of Sachsen (Saxony) in Germany.

Three races are on offer:

  • 50km (five laps)
  • 100km (ten laps)
  • 10x10km Staffel (relay for teams of up to ten runners)

Starting on the athletics track of the August-Bebel-Kampfbahn, which is situated approximately six kilometres from the city centre, the route takes the runners out and back through the Burgaue forest and around the Auensee lake.

Approximately 70 percent of the course is on gravel and 30 percent on asphalt.

The time limit to finish the race is eight hours for the 50k (ten hours for runners aged 65 and over), twelve hours for the relay and thirteen hours for the 100k.
