Held annually on a Saturday night in the summer, the City Night draws the crowds to the Kurfürstendamm, the best-known boulevard in the western part of Berlin.

Starting and ending near the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche (Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church) at the eastern end of the "Kudamm", three races are available:

• 5k run
• 10k run
• 10k inline skating

The course is flat and fast.

Participants in the 5k race run out and back along the Kudamm.

The 10k features four turnaround points as the route takes the runners along the Kudamm and out and back into two side-streets.
