With around 10,000 finishers in three races (5k, 10k, half marathon), RUN München (formerly known as Stadtlauf München) is one of the biggest running events in the state of Bayern (Bavaria) in southern Germany.

In order to avoid overcrowding on the course, the races are held one after the other:

Starting on Ludwigstraße, one of Munich's most imposing avenues, each race features a single-loop course through the city centre and through the vast Englischer Garten.

Instead of a bib, entrants get a technical T-shirt which they must wear during the race.
