With around 10,000 finishers in three races (5k, 10k, half marathon), RUN München (formerly known as Stadtlauf München) is one of the biggest running events in the state of Bayern (Bavaria) in Germany.

In order to avoid overcrowding on the course, the races are held one after the other.

Starting on Ludwigstraße, one of Munich's most imposing avenues, each race features a scenic single-loop course visiting the magnificent Odeonsplatz (pictured), the baroque Hofgarten park and the vast Englischer Garten.

Instead of a bib, entrants get a technical T-shirt which they must wear during the race.
