With approximately 14,000 finishers in three races (5k, 10k, half marathon), the SportScheck RUN München (formerly known as Stadtlauf München) in Munich is one of the biggest running events in the state of Bayern (Bavaria) in Germany.
In order to avoid overcrowding on the course, the races are held one after the other.
Starting at the Siegestor (pictured), all three routes take the runners through the vast Englischer Garten.
Instead of a bib, entrants get a technical T-shirt which they must wear during the race.
