Sunday 27 June 2021 - Cancelled!
The Hamburg Halbmarathon is one of Germany's top half marathon races.
Held annually in late June or early July, the event attracts around 8,000 running and 400 inline skating enthusiasts.
The route is generally flat with some gentle slopes.
Starting on the legendary Reeperbahn in Hamburg's red-light and amusement district, competitors run through the St. Pauli and Ottensen quarters, along the harbour (pictured), past the warehouses of the Speicherstadt (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), through the city centre and around the Außenalster lake.
The finish line is on Jungiusstraße near the Hamburg Messe exhibition centre, approximately two kilometres from the finish area.
The time limit to complete the course is three and a half hours.
