The Diekseelauf is a multi-terrain running event held yearly in August at the Dieksee lake in Schleswig-Holstein, the northernmost state in Germany.

The race is an 11.5km-long, undulating and very scenic run around the lake, the fourth-largest of about 200 lakes in the very beautiful Holsteinische Schweiz lakeland region.

Starting and finishing on the lakeside promenade in Bad Malente-Gremsmühlen, the route is a mix of roads and trails through lovely woods and rolling countryside and through the very pretty village of Timmdorf.

The event also offers a 5km run and a 1.2km children's race. Both races take the runners out and back along the lake's southern shore.

The Diekseelauf was last held on 11 August 2019. The event did not take place in 2020 or 2021, and it won't take place in 2022 either.
