The Běh Zoo Ostrava is a charity run and walk held on a late summer evening in the coal-and-steel city of Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

The event takes place in the Ostrava Zoo and Botanical Park, the second-largest zoo in the country, and a lovely place to spend a family day out in the wooded hills in the north-eastern part of the city.

Three options are available:

  • 480m (one lap)
  • 3km (one lap)
  • 6km (two laps)

The course is an undulating loop starting and finishing at the Na statku (‘On the farm’) area in the middle of the zoo.

The event attracts a crowd of over 800 runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The total number of participants is limited to 1,000.

Entry to the zoo (in the afternoon, before the run) is included in the registration fees.
