Saturday 26 September 2020 - Cancelled!
Held annually in September in the Středočeský kraj (Central Bohemian Region) in Czechia, the Mělnický vinařský běh ("Mělník Wine Run") offers a 10k race as well as three races for children (300m, 600m, 900m).
The start/finish area is at the Bettina Lobkowicz vinařství, a winery in the town of Mělník which is approximately 35 kilometres north of the city centre of Prague.
Mělník is home to a small and very pretty Old Town with a Renaissance castle, built on a hill high above the confluence of the Labe (Elbe) and Vltava rivers.
The 10k race is an out and back course on a cycleway along the Labe, crossing the bridge pictured above twice.
For the most part, the route is flat.
