The Split Maraton is a road running event held annually on the Dalmatian coast in the southern part of Croatia.
Set in Split, the second-largest city in the country with a population of about 160,000, the event offers:
- 2k family run
- 5k race
- 10k race
- 10k team race (four runners run and finish together)
- half marathon
- marathon
The 10k, the half marathon and the full marathon are AIMS-certified and very scenic and varied (but not very flat) courses highlighting the many facets of this vibrant city, such as the lively Riva promenade in the city centre, Stadion Poljud (the home stadium of the Hajduk Split football club) and the densely-wooded Marjan hill (pictured above).
