The Utrka grada Čakovca (‘Čakovec Town Run’) is a running event held every year in the spring in Čakovec, a town of about 27,000 people in Međimurje County in the far north of Croatia.
For the first ten years it was a competitive event offering a 5km race and several shorter races for children and less ambitious runners.
Since 2017, it has been a non-competitive fundraising event. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to take part in the 2km fun run through the lovely Perivoj Zrinskih (Zrinski Park) in the town centre.
Usually, the start/finish area is on Trg Republike (‘Republic Square’, pictured above).
In 2026, it will be at the fontana (fountain) in the park.
