The Babenbergerlauf is a road running event held annually in September in Vienna, capital city of Austria.

Organized by the LCC Wien athletics club, the event features one of the flattest and fastest road running courses in Europe.

The route is a pancake-flat, accurately-measured and traffic-free loop through the Prater, the largest public park in the city.

The start and the finish line are on Prater Hauptallee, the main avenue through the park (pictured), near the Ernst-Happel-Stadion.

Four race distances are available:

  • 5km (one lap)
  • 10km (two laps)
  • 15km (three laps)
  • 21.1km Halbmarathon (half marathon, four laps)
