The Adventlauf (Advent Run) in Neusiedl am See, a small town in the low-lying Burgenland state in Austria, boasts a fine setting:
The start/finish area is at the Seebad beach on the northern shore of the Neusiedler See, Austria's largest lake, shared with Hungary.
It's an event for the whole family:

- 2.9km Fun Run & Nordic Walking (one lap)
- 4.5km Elite Run (five laps)
- 8.7km Classic Run (three laps)
Participants in the 2.9km and 8.7km races run around the Adventdorf (Neusiedl's annual Advent market) and out and back on a cycleway towards the town centre, which is about two kilometres away from the lake.
