Sunday 21 June 2020 - Cancelled!
The Katschberglauf is a mountain running event in the state of Kärnten (Carinthia) in Austria.
The race course is 9.7km long and mainly uphill (+800m of ascent, -83m of descent), starting in the village of Rennweg am Katschberg (1,143m) and finishing at the Gamskogelhütte (1,850m), a mountain hut in the Katschberg ski area.
It's a very scenic route that takes the runners—mainly on gravel roads and trails— through rural areas and forests and through the ski resort on the Katschberghöhe mountain pass (1,641m; pictured below).
The downhill bus transfer from the Gamskogelhütte to Rennweg is included in the registration fees.
