The Wolfgangseelauf & Salzkammergut Marathon is held every year in October at the Wolfgangsee, a 10.3km-long lake in the Salzkammergut region in Austria.
It's a popular running event that attracts approximately 5,000 entrants in four races:

The 27km race is one lap around the Wolfgangsee.
The 42.2km marathon route takes the runners from the spa town of Bad Ischl to St. Wolfgang (15km) and then around the lake.
