Held annually in May or June, the Klagenfurter Altstadtlauf offers a 10k race, a 5k, a 2.5k race walking competition and a number of shorter races for children.
The route is a flat 2.5-kilometre loop through the Altstadt (Old Town) of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, capital of Austria's state of Kärnten (Carinthia). Participants in the 10k race run four laps of this course.
The start/finish area is on Neuer Platz in the heart of the city.
