Held in the lagoon city of Venice in Italy, the Su e Zo per i Ponti di Venezia is a non-competitive event without timekeeping or results lists.

It attracts 10,000 or more walkers and fun runners every year. Inevitably, the course gets very crowded. Runners are well advised to start at the front of the field.

The route changes from year to year. In 2017, the route will be approximately 13km long. Participants will walk or run up and down 48 of Venice's bridges. As in the years before, the route will begin and end on the magnificent Piazza San Marco.

The event also features a 6.5km run for school children and a folk group parade (at 1pm).
