This Night Run is held in Trenčín, an old town of about 56,000 people, situated in the Váh River Valley in western Slovakia.
Starting at 9.30pm on the main square, Mierové námestie (pictured), right below Trenčín's imposing castle, competitors run a 7.57km loop through the town centre, through residential areas, and along the River Váh.
More than 300 runners took part in the first edition of the Night Run. The fastest finishers were Pavol Michalčík (26min 33sec) and Zuzana Durcová (29min 19sec).
