The Giulietta & Romeo Half Marathon is one of Italy's most popular half marathon races. In 2015, almost 6,900 runners completed the flat and certified course through Verona, a beautiful city of art and culture in northern Italy.

In addition, more than 1,500 runners took part in the Duo Half Marathon, a relay race for teams of two runners (10.5km + 10.6km).

The relay race is open to all runners but entrants to the half marathon must provide a membership card of a recognized athletics federation or a medical certificate if they want to see their names not only in the results lists but also in the "official classification". Better don't ask why. This is Italy.

Starting at Verona's main stadium in the western part of the city, the route winds its way to the finish line on Piazza Bra in front of the Arena, the third-largest of all Roman amphitheatres, situated in the picturesque Old Town.

The time limit to complete the course is three hours.
