With almost 16,000 finishers last year, the Vienna Night Run is one of Central Europe's largest 5k races.

The route is one loop around the city centre.

Starting at the magnificent Hofburg (Court Palace), the race follows the imperial Ringstraße which is home to many of Vienna's grandest buildings, including the Austrian Parliament, the State Opera, and the Burgtheater.

In 2014, the fastest finishers were Lemawork Ketema (13min 45sec) and Nada Ina Pauer (16min 7sec).
