The Cjaminade di San Josef is a lovely non-competitive event for runners and hikers of all ages and abilities.

The event forms part of the Sagra di San Giuseppe festival, which is held annually in March in the village of Laipacco di Tricesimo near the city of Udine in northern Italy.

Participants can choose between two very scenic routes (7km and 14km long) through picturesque rolling countryside — through fields, woods and vineyards, along the River Cormor, and past a number of truly impressive old villas.

The course is mostly on well-marked trails (which can become rather muddy on a rainy day). Some sections are on asphalt.
