8th Ślęża Half Marathon 2015
Sobótka (Poland), Saturday 21 March 2015
Almost 3,300 runners completed last year's Półmaraton Ślężański, a half marathon road race in the Lower Silesia Province in south-western Poland.
The route is very challenging. The difference between the lowest and the highest point on the course is more than 200 metres!
Starting and finishing in Sobótka, a small town of 7,000 people, located about 30km from the city of Wrocław, participants run through rural areas and woods clockwise around Mount Ślęża (718m, pictured), an ancient holy place for local tribes, and nowadays a protected area and a popular hiking destination.
The time limit to finish the race is three hours.
