Hohwacht (Germany), Sunday 19 July 2015
The Alpen-Lauf Hohwacht is held in the charming small Baltic Sea resort of Hohwacht in Germany's northernmost state of Schleswig-Holstein.
Two multi-terrain races are on offer — a 5k (one lap) and a 10k (two laps).
Starting at the Edeka Alpen supermarket near the beach, the route is undulating and very varied and scenic as it takes the runners through dense woods, up to a viewing point on the cliffs, and along the beach promenade.
The Alpen-Lauf Hohwacht is a charity event. The race organizers will donate one euro for each kilometre that you run or walk.
