Participants in the Dačického 12 race run 12km of a hilly multi-terrain course through the picturesque surroundings of Kutná Hora, a gem of a medieval town in the Czech Republic.

The start/finish area is at the Gothic Saint Barbara's Church on the edge of the Old Town, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995.

The route is very scenic as it takes the runners on mixed terrain (more on gravel than on asphalt) along the lovely Vrchlice stream and through woods and farmland.

The difference between the lowest and the highest point on the course is approximately 100m.
