This Stadtlauf in Germany's state of Bavaria offers a 10k race and children's races. Last year, the event welcomed 500 10k runners and more than 300 children.

Participants in the 10k race run five laps of an accurately-measured course which begins and ends in the historic centre of Erding, a beer-brewing town of 35,000 inhabitants, located in an agricultural region near the city of Munich.

In order to avoid overcrowding on the course, the 10k runners start in two waves. The faster runners start off at 2.30pm, the others one hour later.
