This Citylauf attracts a crowd of approximately 1000 runners to the old Hanseatic merchant city of Lübeck in northern Germany.

The event offers a 10k race, a 5k run, and a 1.5k children's run.

The 10k is two laps of an undulating course through Lübeck's Old Town—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most of the route is on asphalt roads but some sections are on cobbles or on gravel paths. The time limit to finish the 10k race is 90 minutes.
