Organized by the Warsaw Marathon Foundation, the Półmaraton Warszawski is a massive event with more than 10,000 finishers last year.

The start/finish area is at Poland's new National Stadium. The race takes runners along the ‘Royal Route’ which passes many of Warsaw's historic sights (pictured), along the River Vistula, and around the magnificent Łazienki Park.

In 2013, the fastest finishers were Martin Mukule of Kenya (1:02:47) and Olga Kalendarova-Ochal of Poland (1:14:01).
