Villach (Austria), Friday 4 April 2014
The Geolauf is a relatively small running event with approximately 150 to 200 participants, held in the town of Villach in Austria's state of Carinthia (Kärnten).
Starting at the University of Applied Sciences (German: Fachhochschule) in the eastern part of town, competitors run 10.25km of a gently-undulating course.
The route is mostly on cycleways along both banks of the River Drau which flows through Villach's very pretty town centre.
The event also offers a 7.2km Teamlauf for teams of three runners. All three runners must cross the finish line together.
