Every year in spring, Landshut läuft ("Landshut runs") either 5km, 10km, or a half marathon through Landshut, a beautiful old city of 65,000 people, situated in the Niederbayern (Lower Bavaria) region in southern Germany.

Starting and finishing on Mitterwöhr, a 3km-long island in the River Isar, participants run (or walk) on footpaths and cycleways along the river, through lovely woods, and across four bridges in the city centre.

The route is certified and flat on mixed terrain (gravel and asphalt).

The entry fees (€ 19 euros for adults) will be donated to charity.

Around 750 runners and walkers took part in the event last year. The fastest half marathon finishers were Valentin Unterholzner (1:13:41) and Christine Jung (1:28:58).
