12th "New Year's Eve Run Innsbruck" 2012

Held on New Year's Eve in the city of Innsbruck in Austria's state of Tyrol, this Silvesterlauf attracts an international field of over 700 runners.

Participants run 5.6 kilometres (two laps of a 2.8km course) through the city centre and along the River Inn. Nordic walkers finish after one lap (2.8km).

The start is at 5pm at the Goldenes Dachl ("Golden Roof"), a 15th-century balcony in Innsbruck's picturesque Old Town.

In 2011, the fastest finishers were Dominik Zierler (18:21) and Martina Zenz (21:37).
