6. Kanizsai Futófesztivál 2011
Held on a rural out-and-back course in western Hungary, the Kanizsa Running Festival is a small road running event which offers a 50km ultra marathon, a 21.1km half marathon, and a 10km race. All distances are certified. The 50K consists of two laps.
Start and finish are in the village of Kiskanizsa ("Little Kanizsa"), located three kilometres west of the city centre of Nagykanizsa ("Great Kanizsa"). The route follows a mildly undulating country lane through fields, woods and villages. The course is not closed to traffic. Along the route, there are plenty of well-stocked feed stations.
In 2010, the 50K winners were Roland Lakatos (3:46:27) and Zita Kis (3:53:55).
