Belluno - Feltre (Italy), Sunday 6 March 2011
The start of the race is in Belluno at the foot of the Dolomites.
This attractive point-to-point road running race in northern Italy offers the rare opportunity to run 30 kilometres on a certified and traffic-free course.
The start is in the ancient town of Belluno, situated at the foot of the snow-capped mountains of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, around 100km north of Venice.
The undulating route runs along the Piave River Valley to the finish in Feltre.
Competitors in the 30k race must provide a valid medical certificate at registration. Entrants in the non-competitive 30k run or in the 3x10km relay don't need a health certificate. They pay reduced entry fees but their finishing times won't be taken.
In 2010, the competitive 30k race had almost 700 finishers, led home by Migido Bourifa (1:36:00) and Vincenza Sicari (1:50:22).
