The Batujski kros races form part of a series of four cross-country running events, held every year over the winter in Slovenia's Primorska region, not far from the Adriatic Sea.
All events are mainly meant to test your shape and meet people. Entries on the day are 4 euros.
Competitors run several loops around the green fields of Batuje, a small village in the fruit- and wine-growing Vipava Valley. The distance depends on the age category of the runner:
- 300m-2km: children
- 4km: juniors (born 1992-1995)
- 6km: men (born 1965 and older); women (born 1991 and older)
- 8km: men (born 1966-1991)
