11. Hainfelder Stadtlauf 2009
11th Hainfeld Town Race
The small town of Hainfeld, situated in the rolling hills of Lower Austria, is home to a relatively small event that has seen quite a few international elite athletes flying around the course.
The main race of approximately 8.4km features seven laps (1,179 metres each) and an additional 135 metres. Participants in the "Hobby Run" (ca 3.7km) run three laps plus 135 metres.
Last year, Kenya's Boash Mayaka led the field home, followed by his compatriot Samson Loywapet and Hungarian Szilveszter Porpaczy. Anna Kovalenko of Ukraine was first woman, trailed by Dana Janeckova of Slovakia.
