Held yearly in May, the Maraton Praha (Prague Marathon) is the Czech Republic's best-known running event.

The start/finish area is on Staroměstské náměstí (Old Town Square) in the historic town centre.

The event features a 42.2km marathon and a 21.1km+21.1km relay race for teams of two runners.

It also offers a walk with dogs and a non-competitive minimarathon, both held on Saturday afternoon, on the day before the marathon, in Stromovka park in the northern part of the city.
