Held in one of Germany's busiest ports, the Bremerhaven Marathon attracts more than 1000 runners of all ages and abilities.

The event offers various races — 400m and 800m children's races, 5km (one lap), 10km (two laps), half marathon (two laps), 30km (three laps), marathon (four laps).

Starting and finishing on Bremerhaven's pedestrianized main shopping street, the route takes the runners through the city centre, residential areas, and parkland.
