The Andrejčkov tek is a running event in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia's best-known ski resort, located in the north-western corner of the country near the borders with Austria and Italy.
Until 2017, the Andrejčkov tek was held as an uphill road race to the Vršič pass (Tek na Vršič).
After a one-year break, a new course, entirely off road, was introduced in 2019.
Starting at the foot of the ski area in Kranjska Gora (pictured above), the route follows steep ski slopes and forest trails to the finishing line at the Mojčin dom mountain hut which sits at 1,555 metres above sea level on the summit of Vitranc (pictured below).
The route is just 3,050 metres long but it includes 745 metres of ascent, so this is a very tough course with an average gradient of about 25%, and some sections are much steeper than this!
The event was last held on 25 June 2019. It did not take place in 2020, 2021 or 2022.
